Why Pierag Publishes a Social Impact Report

For a professional services firm advising clients on BRSR Core compliance, ESG governance, and sustainability reporting, publishing a structured Social Impact Report is an expression of the same accountability Pierag expects its clients to demonstrate. Social impact reporting is also transitioning from a voluntary brand exercise into a structured governance discipline. In India, the Companies Act 2013 mandates CSR reporting for companies meeting applicable Section 135 thresholds. [3] The BRSR framework requires listed companies to disclose social and environmental performance against National Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct. [4] Investors, employees, and clients increasingly evaluate professional services firms on social responsibility credentials alongside technical expertise.

Key Focus Areas for April 2024 to September 2025

Community development and welfare. Pierag’s community engagement during this period focused on initiatives that directly benefit local communities across India and the US, with specific programmes, partners, and measurable outcomes documented in the full report.

Environmental cleanliness and restoration. Environmental responsibility is embedded in Pierag’s operational practices and voluntary initiatives, including participation in environmental restoration programmes and adoption of operational practices that reduce the firm’s environmental footprint.

Employee wellbeing and workplace culture. Pierag’s workforce practices reflect its commitment to building an equitable, inclusive, and high-performing environment. The period covers initiatives on professional development, work-life integration, mental health support, and inclusive workplace culture across India and US operations.

Ethical governance and responsible operations. Governance standards at Pierag include internal policies on conflicts of interest, data privacy, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, and responsible client service applied consistently across all operations.

ISO 26000 alignment. The report maps Pierag’s activities to ISO 26000’s seven core subjects: organisational governance, human rights, labour practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, and community involvement and development. [1] ISO 26000 provides a structured and internationally recognised accountability framework for reporting social responsibility activities.

Contribution to UN Sustainable Development Goals. Pierag’s social responsibility activities are aligned with relevant UN SDGs, particularly those relating to quality education, decent work and economic growth, reduced inequalities, and partnerships for the goals. [2] The full report identifies which SDGs each activity contributes to and describes the nature of that contribution.

Social Responsibility as a Business Discipline

The period April 2024 to September 2025 represents a significant phase in Pierag’s growth across India and the US, during which social responsibility practices scaled alongside the business. Pierag’s Social Impact Report is the primary document through which the firm demonstrates accountability to its own stated values, applying the same rigour of transparent, evidence-based reporting that it supports for clients.

Pierag’s ESG and Sustainability practice helps organisations build the governance infrastructure, data systems, and disclosure frameworks needed to produce credible, auditable social impact and ESG reports.
